Getting to Know Your DSLR

Course Description

Learn the controls of your digital camera and improve your photographs along the way! Step by step instruction and demonstrations will be covered in class. Please bring your digital camera manual to class, along with your camera that is fully charged, and with back up batteries. This class requires a Digital SLR Camera.

Requirements

• A DSLR or mirrorless camera with full manual functionality (M, Av, Tv, P) modes.
• A fully charged camera battery.
• A media/memory card with at least 8 GB of storage space.

Photo Center Orientation is not required for this class, but it is required if student wishes to come to the Photo Center outside the workshop to develop film on their own and/or print their own photos in the Darkroom.

Instructor Bio – Quincy Stamper

Quincy Stamper for many years has been a passionate arts educator of Bay Area youth. He is a San Francisco based photographer eager to capture the moments in life through portraits and food. He has fallen in love with photography for many reasons, but mostly because he is able to build relationships through his work. These relationships and stories motivate him to look for new ways to inspire his creativity. He thanks God everyday for giving him persistence and patience to create work that he is proud to share with people like you!
