KQED Truly CA premieres the new documentary “Mrs. Vera’s Daybook” with a virtual red-carpet event and watch party!
Please join KQED Truly CA on the virtual red-carpet event to celebrate the launch of a new independent documentary Mrs. Vera’s Daybook!
At a time when SF Pride was fueled by the grief and rage of the AIDS epidemic, artists David Faulk and Michael Johnstone discover an unlikely joy through the creation of Mrs. Vera, an outrageous costumed collaborative art project that takes on a life of its own. Mrs. Vera’s Daybook is a love story that follows David and Michael through 25 years of building community through art, grief, joy, and healing.
Featuring fabulous runway costumes and a discussion with director Robert James, Joshua Grannell a.k.a. Peaches Christ, David Faulk and Michael Johnstone, and other stars from the film, followed by a live chat watch party on the KQED Arts YouTube Channel!
