The Friends of Harvey Milk Photo Center, is a non-Profit, 501c3 organization, who’s goals, are to collaborate and focus on educational photography programs, which actively welcome and inspire emerging photographers, including exhibits, lecture and special events, as well as offering photography residencies and workshops at the Harvey Milk Photo Center (HMPC), with the goal of creating an enriching dialogue within our diverse community.

Established in 1940, the Harvey Milk Photo Center has been serving the San Francisco community for over eight decades. As the oldest and largest community wet darkroom in the United States, we’re proud to be associated with the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department.
