Strong Engaging Compositions

04/01/2021 – 04/22/2021
Thur, 7pm – 9pm PST

Course Description

If you are interested in improving the quality of your photographs, then you will need to improve your composition. Composition isn’t just about understanding camera specifications; it is also about emotional engagement with your subject, which could be a person, a landscape or a still life. We will examine the elements that make up a photograph, the techniques, and rules of composition and what you need to keep in mind to achieve the best results. We will look at examples of photography to illustrate each of the concepts, and weekly assignments will be set up for you to explore these ideas on your own. Class discussion is encouraged, and weekly assignments will be critiqued.
