Katherine Akey

Course Description

In this class students will get to explore the photographic process of cyanotype on textiles to create unique imagery in combination with basic embroidery embellishments. Students will be introduced to the alternative process of cyanotype on fabric and will also learn drawing with thread techniques to enhance, add, layer and respond to the resulting imagery. Combining these different techniques we will create unique works that cross the boundaries of photography, drawing, and textile arts.

Previous cyanotype experience preferred. Materials list will be provided by teacher.
